This year, the show was hosted by D.L. Hughley and in attendance were Aretha Franklin, RubyDee, Denzel Washington, Janet Jackson, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, Julian Bond, Tyler Perry, C.C.H Pounder, Kirk Franklin, Angela Bassett, Vanessa Williams, Tichina Arnold, Kimberly Elise, and Todd Black to name a few.
